How it works
From experiments to a business-critical flow.
My early automation experiments were playful: a Shopify order could trigger a smart plug and a confetti cannon. Over time, that curiosity turned into systems for real work. At BotBuilders, the SMS bot became my first mission after our move from Zapier to n8n: keep leads engaged and get their replies to sales without someone juggling every step.
More room to build.
I pushed for the move to n8n both to reduce execution costs and to give us more flexibility. We could bring AI agents, custom logic and branching workflows into one place. Coolify helped me self-host the wider stack, including n8n, Postgres, Redis and Qdrant. The SMS bot put that new foundation to work in our main funnel.
A result that went beyond saving clicks.
In my June 2025 update, I shared that the flow had driven over $500K in new revenue within two weeks of launch. Just as meaningful to me was giving the team their evenings back. The goal was to keep the funnel moving while taking the repetitive follow-up work off their plate.
